Sustainability

The island is our home, and we are committed to protecting it. Wherever you are on Kyun Pila, you may notice the small touches around the island as part of our sustainability efforts. It’s our way of ensuring the beauty of Kyun Pila and its surroundings remain, for generations to come.

ENERGY & WATER MANAGEMENT

Awei Pila uses renewable solar energy to cover more than 40% of the total energy consumption in the resort.

The resort is consciously designed to advocate good energy management, from its green design that allows natural lighting in the daytime, to the use of cloth lines for drying linen.

We also use proper water treatment systems for both fresh and seawater, as well as treating wastewater for irrigation in our landscaping.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

Our resort upholds a minimal plastic policy, ensuring that all amenities are plastic-free. Room amenities, sunscreen and gel by the pool are made with 100% eco-sustainable products.

The resort also uses only glass bottles instead of single-use plastic water bottles, recycling them by crushing and using the byproduct in road construction and foundation.
